Team Summary
The Senior Retail Sales Analyst is part of our Retail Sales Support team. This position is based in our corporate office in Parsippany, NJ and will be on a hybrid 3:2 in office schedule.
Job Summary
The Senior Retail Sales Analyst is responsible for supporting our retail accounts through data and financial analysis, pricing, deduction root cause analysis, training, and coordination with other internal departments. This position will provide ad hoc reporting, maintain our systems and data, create dashboards, and answer business questions with supporting data. This position will become an expert working with our Retailer's systems and data. The ideal candidate will serve as a team lead for the analytics, pricing and deduction functions.
Essential Duties
- Ad Hoc Analysis- Pull and present data as requested
- Analytics- Provides sales forecasts as requested from Sales Leadership- Inventory position reviews during SKU transitions or as requested by Sales Leadership- Maintain expert knowledge of Retailer data and systems- Use available data to identify sales insights- Create sales forecasts to be used in presentations, business cases, product load-in, etc.- Work with Deduction Specialist to perform root cause analysis- Prepare data to be presented as appropriate based on the audience
- Stocking Analysis- Build and maintain a stocking data model to help make stocking decisions- Determine proper special order SKU availability based on plant sourcing and color availability.- Perform sales analysis to determine optimal SKU assortments in retail stores- Perform analysis to help determine if new products should be stocked
- Data Responsibilities- Work with IT and other team members to ensure data accuracy with business and system process improvements- Maintain expert knowledge of retail POS (point of sale) and GAF sales data- Maintain knowledge of other data sources available for analysis
- Financial Analysis- Run P&Ls to help make pricing decisions- Supports the Manager of Retail Operations in the ownership of the full Retail business P&L and comprehensive financial analysis of the business performance including pricing, raw material costs, manufacturing performance, distribution costs, etc.- Perform financial analysis of monthly & quarterly performance as well as supporting the Manager of Retail Operations in forward looking analysis of business impacts to mitigate risk and create value through opportunities- Provide analytical support to key Retail growth and strategic initiatives (including enterprise priorities & large cross functional projects) through involvement in business case reviews, valuation methodology and financial analysis including KPIs to measure performance against goals- Report all monthly results and prepare quarterly trade group analysis- Develop understanding of the manufacturing performance of the Residential and Commercial plant network, and financial impacts- Supports the Marketing team in the quantification of financial impacts related to programs/initiatives, product roadmaps, new product launches, sku rationalization, etc.- Identifies opportunities to improve financial reporting and analysis with enhanced data capture, system improvements, etc.

Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Discipline
- Eight or more years of related work experience
