Position: Senior Manager, WW Medical Neuropsychiatry Strategy
Location: Princeton Pike or Madison, NJ
The Senior Manager of Medical Neuropsychiatry Strategy will partner with key medical team to support development, implement, and execute disease area and asset-specific medical strategies. This role will partner with cross-functional medical team to deliver key medical activities. Partner with Medical team to align KarXT strategy by fostering cross-functional collaboration with key stakeholders, including US and WW Commercial, Research and Development, Global Drug Development, HEOR, Regulatory Affairs, and other global medical stakeholders. This position reports to the Executive Director, WW Medical Neuropsychiatry Strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in Medical Matrix Team activities and meetings, contributing to the development, planning, and execution of the Medical Plan aligned with disease area and product strategies.
- Effectively support medical directors on medical activities including labeling, safety surveillance, scientific advisory boards, congress support, competitive intelligence, real-world data generation, and publications.
- Partner with medical director to represent Medical Strategy in cross-functional matrix teams, contributing to the Brand planning process and collaborating with marketing, sales, value and access, legal, regulatory, and development teams.
- Support engagement with high-impact external thought leaders in neuropsychiatry to identify and translate key insights.
- Maintain working knowledge of the treatment landscape, including competitors' plans, and translate insights into action.
- Support coordination with Marketing and other matrix partners to communicate results from clinical trials, treatment guidelines, and other clinical data internally.
- Support and drive BMS-sponsored clinical research activities, including non-registrational data generation.
- Partner & collaborate with Commercialization & Access organizations to integrate medical perspectives into the commercialization process and ensure alignment between commercial and medical plans.
- Serve as an internal disease expert, providing critical input into the development of effective communication tools and programs.
- Performs other responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
- Completes all assigned SOPs and training within designated timeframe and adheres to job-specific SOPs and work instructions.
- Conducts business in accordance with BMS Values.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education
- Advanced degree (PhD, MD, DO, NP, PA, PharmD etc.) in a scientific discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
- A minimum of 3+ years of direct professional experience in pharmaceutical development within life sciences or biopharmaceuticals.
Industry Knowledge
- Strong understanding of the biopharma drug development and commercialization process.
- Experience in clinical research and development, or medical affairs in Psychiatry/Neurology is preferred.
Skill Set
- Seeking a balanced combination of scientific and business acumen.
Strategic Thinking
- Demonstrated strength in understanding overarching company goals, performing strategic assessments, and developing clearly framed choices and recommendations.
Global Experience
- US or global experience is preferred.
Cross-Functional Experience
- Experience working across a range of medical and/or clinical development roles is a plus.
Analytical Skills
- Experience in analytics, particularly in relation to product launches.
Project Management
- Experience in project and/or portfolio management with the ability to develop clear action plans and execute them.
Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to build relationships, influence, and drive organizational engagement at all levels.
Leadership
- Ability to lead strategically, drive performance, build alignment, negotiate, and collaborate.
Communication
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, high-level negotiation skills, and the ability to resolve conflict constructively.
- Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Travel
- Ability to travel globally (frequent travel will be required)
