We are looking for passionate, driven individuals to join our team focused on <em><span>Delivering Solutions and Improving Lives</span></em>.</span></div></div></div><font class="bold">Responsibilities</font><div><div><div><span>We are looking for a passionate and dedicated <strong>Principal Environmental Specialist</strong> to join our Ecology group in Parsippany, New Jersey. This position provides excellent growth opportunity for candidates to work with a team of diverse professionals on a variety of projects in the public and private sector. The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of experience in:</span><ul><div><span>Manage project/task budgets and deadlines</span></div><li><span>Managing complex environmental projects </span></li><li><span>Prepare environmental permits in New Jersey/New York</span></li><li><span>Prepare proposals and project budgets; assist with marketing and Business Development</span></li><li><span>Lead wetland field investigations, delineations and functional value assessments.</span></li><li><span>Lead threatened and endangered floral and faunal habitat assessments and targeted species surveys.</span></li><li><span>Prepare technical studies and reports.</span></li><li><span>Prepare wetland and ecological permit applications in accordance with Federal and state requirements with emphasis on New York and New Jersey regulations.</span></li><li><span>Prepare NEPA and NJ Executive Order 215 EIS, EA and CED documents</span></li><li><span>Compile scope and fee for projects and or tasks</span></li><li><span>Assign tasks, communicate task expectations, and track status of assigned tasks</span></li><li><span>Complete project tasks within deadlines and work within allotted project budgets.</span></li><li><span>Responsible for QA/QC process.</span></li><li><span>Monitor and manage project finances monthly.</span></li><li><span>Assist with mentoring junior environmental staff</span></li><li><span>Market NV5 environmental capabilities </span></li></ul></div></div></div><font class="bold">Qualifications</font><div><div><div><ul><li><span>Bachelor's degree in environmental science, ecology, botany, wildlife management, natural resources, or related field.</span></li><li><span>12+ years of relevant experience.</span></li><li><span>Certified Wildlife Biologist or Professional Wetland Scientist preferred, but not required.</span></
