Job Description
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Project Assistant in Morristown, New Jersey. As a Project Assistant, you will be involved in various project management tasks such as documentation, timeline tracking, task management, client call support, administrative reporting, and internal coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently handle and organize ticket submissions for internal teams, making sure tasks are well defined, assigned, and tracked.
- Act as a supportive figure for the project team, coordinating meetings, scheduling updates, and ensuring essential resources and documents are readily available.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop project timelines, clearly defining all milestones and deadlines. Regularly update these timelines to keep the team in sync.
- Join client calls as an observer, taking note of important details, follow-up items, and client requirements. Ensure this information is accurately recorded and passed on to the project team.
- Prepare and keep up-to-date detailed scoping documents that highlight project objectives, requirements, and deliverables. Confirm all scoping information is precisely documented and easily accessible to team members.
- Compile and submit administrative reports concerning project status, resource usage, and task completion. Regularly update the Project Manager and Director on project progress and any pending action items. Requirements - Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Project Assistant or in a similar role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience in data entry tasks
- Ability to manage timelines effectively
- Excellent skills in organizing files
- Experience in scanning and handling shipping functions
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- High school degree; additional qualifications as a Project Administrator or Secretary will be a plus.
