Workforce Development Board of Northwest New Jersey (WDBNNJ) is seeking a candidate for Contract Compliance Business Engagement Specialist position. This position is responsible for ensuring contracts provided to businesses are compliant with USDOL, NJDOL, WDB WIOA policies and County of Morris contract and procurement practices. Additionally, this position will provide compliance oversight of the One Stop Operator and Manager of WDB Career Services and other sub-recipients to ensure appropriate determination of eligibility for services, management of contract processes; implementation of training plans as related to candidate skills gaps, confirmation of funding support and contract execution and employer payments. The position engages with area businesses, non-profit organizations, and government entities to promote WDB business services, assist with recruitment, hiring and training, confirms employer eligibility for services, manages contract processes; reviews training plans as related to candidate skills gaps, confirms funding support, and prepares contracts for execution. Additional responsibilities include expanding our committees as well as serving as the WDB liaison to the NJDOL for the purpose of requesting technical assistance with federal and state business policy interpretation and implementation for the local area. This is a full-time salaried position; 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Direct Report: This position reports to the Workforce Development Board of Northwest New Jersey Associate Director of Business Services.

High level of proficiency using all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Knowledge of video conferencing and electronic signature platforms.
Experience using Salesforce is a plus.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of State IWT and OJT policies and guidelines pertaining to employer eligibility is a plus.
Experience working with apprenticeship programs and NJDOL grants is a plus.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree. • Minimum 1-2 years experience in business development, client relations. • Valid Driver’s License. Position may require the use of one’s vehicle.
