Job Description
Environmental Engineers (Parsippany, NJ)Assist with the planning and execution of field investigations at active constructions sites in the tri-state area by performing field tests, collecting samples, collecting and recording data, and performing routine calculations. Monitor complex construction projects by taking various tests to evaluate whether contractor or subcontractor has complied with job specifications. Identify and implement solutions to both routine and more complex field and/or laboratory problems and accurately documents results. Communicate with supervisor on any problems encountered on project sites. Prepare reports documenting field investigations and analytical results. Prepare a variety of standard logs and field forms (such as drilling logs, field investigation dailies, and chain of custody logs). Use firm's field testing equipment including a nuclear gauge with proficiency. Identify and implement solutions to both routine and more complex field problems and document them accurately, keeping project manager informed or problems encountered during work assignments. Lead tasks associated with the preparation and modification of various engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, cost estimates and designs for projects. Perform and manage tasks within specific budgets and schedules. May track task and project budgets. Interacts in a professional manner with client and subcontractor representatives in close collaboration with supervisor. Supervise or coordinate the work of staff engineers, interns and others who assist in specific assignments as needed. Review the work product prepared by staff prior to submittal to management. Coordinate and perform field inspection services, as needed. Coach and train staff.Requires at least a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Technology, Geology, or a related scientific field, and 2 years of environmental engineering experience. Must have experience with: environmental assessment and remediation; field inspections and environmental investigations; remediation of contaminated properties; field oversight of remediation activities and subcontractors; preparing technical reports, specifications, and plans; and, data management and evaluation.Resumes to Langan Engineering & Environmental Services LLC. at: careers@Langan.com.
