Job Description
The Product Strategy Lead for Small Business is responsible for building strategies to help Valley use their resources most efficiently while maintaining a competitive edge in the marketplace, specifically around the small business customer segment. They will develop a comprehensive product strategy, product vision and long-term roadmap that aligns with the company's business objectives and market opportunities.<br>Monday-Friday 8am-5pm and as needed<br><div><div>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</div><ul><li>Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the company's vision, mission, and business objectives.</li><li>Define the overall product strategy for the small business customer base including key objectives, target segments, value proposition and growth plan.</li><li>Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify market gaps, opportunities, and threats.</li><li>Analyze performance metrics and trends for the company's current product offerings.</li><li>Lead the ideation and conceptualization of new products, features and enhancements to address the SMB customer segment needs.</li><li>Communicate product vision to both internal and external stakeholders, building alignment and support.</li><li>Identify partnership opportunities to extend reach and/or capabilities.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize product features, user needs, technical feasibility and business impact to create a robust product roadmap and prioritize initiatives.</li><li>Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to gauge the success of products and make data-driven recommendations for optimization.</li></ul></div><br><div><div><strong>Required Skills:</strong></div><ul><li>Ability to set and develop strategic goals and techniques for Valley's brand, and effectively communicate this to all project team members and business lines.</li><li>Demonstrated track record of delivering positive results in project work, including high quality implementations, and cost savings, within time and budgetary constraints.</li><li>Strong communication and collaboration skills with a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize.</li><li>Proven ability to reach an audience through effective and clear presentations, writing skills and excellent communication strategies.</li><li>Ability to think strategically and develop innovative ideas.</li><li>Ability to drive execution and adoption for key strategic programs across large team, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity.</li><li>Expertise using Microsoft Office applications including MS Project and SharePoint.</li><li>Proven experience in product strategy, product management, or a related role.</li><li>Proven ability to develop and lead the implementation of communications strategy, policy and operational plans, to a successful outcome across a medium or large organization.</li><li>Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.</li></ul><div><strong>Required Experience:</strong></div><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or Communications or related field.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of executive support, product development and/or project management.</li></ul><div><strong>Preferred Experience:</strong></div><ul><li>Business experience driving execution and adoption of key strategic programs.</li></ul></div><br>Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.<br>$96,000.00<br>$167,700.00Valley National Bank is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer.
