Our expertise in the planning, design, and construction management of roads and highways is grounded in our ability to provide innovative, technically advanced approaches to unique challenges. TYLin is looking for an intern to join our Rockaway, NJ office for the Summer of 2025. As an intern, you'll gain the opportunity to immerse yourself in diverse projects. As an intern you will assist engineers and engineering staff within a variety of project support roles. This internship is your chance to be part of a collaborative community where you can expand your knowledge and sharpen your skills through hands-on meaningful work.<font class="bold">Responsibilities & Qualifications</font><b>What You Will Do</b><ul><li>Become familiarwith engineering plans and details</li><li>Perform quantity take-offs</li><li>Assist with project monitoring and scheduling</li><li>Assist with computer modeling</li><li>Assist with producing progress reports</li><li>Collaborate with other engineers, drafters, and support staff</li><li>Assist in production of engineering drawings, calculations, and cost estimates under close supervision of senior engineers</li><li>Ability to apply the use of proper codes and standards in the production of engineering deliverables</li><li>Attend site visits or inspections</li></ul><b>What You Bring to the Team <span>(Competencies</span>)</b><ul><li>Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to efficiently prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing clear documentation and interacting professionally with clients and colleagues</li><li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also able to effectively collaborate in a team environment</li><li>Strong commitment to integrity, consistently demonstrating ethical, fair, and responsible behavior</li><li>Commitment to innovation and continuous learning, with a passion for acquiring new skills and driving improvements</li></ul><b>Your Education and Experience</b><ul><li>Requires current 3rd year standing as an undergraduate from an accredited Civil Engineering program</li><li>Experience with MS Word, Excel and engineering software</li><li>Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and/or MicroStation experience is preferred</li></ul><br><font class="bold">Additional Information</font>At TYLin, we strive to create a supportive and enriching learning environment that empowers you to make an impact.
