Job Title: Accounting Associate
Job Description
We're searching for a skilled financial specialist to join our accounts receivable team to help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The accounts receivable specialist will have both a day-to-day and ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, updating and distribution of cash receipt logs, and posting and application of cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger and customer accounts.
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted, credits are properly applied, and miscellaneous differences cleared.
- Obtain information from other departments to ensure records are accurate and complete and that accounts receivable ledgers and journals are up-to-date.
- Research and resolve account discrepancies.
- Assist in streamlining the accounts receivable process by identifying areas for performance improvement.
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting customers.
- Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
Essential Skills
- Proven working experience as Accounts Receivable Clerk or accountant.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Intermediate MS Excel skills (VLookUp & Pivot Table).
- Experience in cash application, reconciliation, and billing.
- Experience with foreign currencies.
- Invoice processing and reconciliation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in MS Great Plains preferred.
- Customer service orientation.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, required.
- At least two years to five years of related experience, required.
Work Environment
The team is going through a NetSuite implementation. Our Finance team plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, optimal financial management, and efficient operations. The Finance team partners across all departments to appropriately allocate resources, inform key business decisions, and facilitate the execution of our operational plans.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
