As a Global Medical Launch Lead you will be the connection between the global medical team, the countries, the commercial franchise and the rest of the organization to ensure a smooth and collaborative cross-functional work. Connecting the dots between country's needs, global strategy, medical priorities, this position is central in everything we do for the success of the autoimmune T1D franchise, General Medicines.
Main responsibilities:
- Drive with markets excellence in medical launch
- Provide medical leadership for launch preparation in collaboration with cross-functional local and global launch readiness team, and follow-up of the medical activities and KPIs of new launches in the countries
- Enhance the delivery and the impact of country medical teams during Launch Readiness Review Meetings
- Coordinate the local execution of key T1D global medical projects and optimize the use of RWE from countries; Contribute to congress management to maximize the impact beyond global activities
- Ensure countries focus on impact matrix and focus on the right scientific initiatives agreed as KPIs
- Continue to lead the US-Global relationship for excellence in launch
- Provide strategic advice to the US in creating optimal, prioritized medical plan to support reaching corporate goals and KPI's
- Participate in planning and contribute to effective, multidisciplinary external engagement
- Strategic global cross-functional partnership
- Co-lead the strategic interactions in the franchise with commercial, clinical, market access and communication colleagues
- Attend and coordinate global meetings
- Represent medical during IGP creation process
- Drive together with the franchise team the internal initiatives to increase the awareness of the franchise, and to align and coordinate all cross-functional initiatives
- Lead the strategy for countries in scope for launch
- In collaboration with country Medical Leads define medical strategy and support creation of medical plans aligned with Global strategy and goals
- Co-create the key priorities and path to optimal execution
- Communicate with the countries for key information and updates, ensure the implementation of T1D strategies and related medical activities
About you
You are a strategic experience leader in the pharmaceutical industry, capable of understanding the complex environment we operate and find solutions that are implementable and ensure the best outcomes for patients.
You understand the science and the needs of aT1D patients, are clear in our strategy, able to formulate it and to present in front of large audiences, from senior executives to country colleagues. You are driven, collaborative, able to combine the need of short- and long-term results. You look for different solutions to complex problem, dare to challenge the status quo and are very clear and structured in approaching and organizing the work done by all the other members of the team.
- At least 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry (medical and/or commercial) with a clear track record of launches at global and local level
- MD, PhD, PharmD or other scientific background needed
- Business driven, with a clear understanding of the go-to-market model for biologics and in general specialty products
- Ability to network, create consensus, building bridges across the organization, led by influencing others
- Focus on innovation and promoting of different ways of working with countries in the global model
- Strong strategic thinking with a great focus on execution and creation of impact
- Good understanding of regulatory and market access challenges at local level across US and Key Markets
- Fluent spoken and written English
