IT Director - Enterprise Solution Architect

The IT Director, Enterprise Solutions Architect is a critical member of the Solix IT Leadership Team. This role is responsible for aligning overall solution architecture and strategy with business growth objectives, guiding enterprise solution design and development to support program roadmaps, and promoting solution best practices. The Enterprise Solutions Architect serves as the primary solution partner to Business Development, Operations, and Program Support teams—developing and modernizing the company’s product and service offerings to achieve optimal profitability and support ongoing business growth.
We are seeking an accomplished IT Director, Enterprise Solutions Architect to lead solution design and deployment, leveraging cloud-native architectures, business process automation, and artificial intelligence. The Enterprise Solutions Architect will play a critical role in defining our technology vision, ensuring solutions are innovative, secure, and competitive. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, clients, and technical teams to support business development efforts, including client meetings and request for proposal (RFP) responses.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design
Develop enterprise-level technology architectures aligned with business objectives, leveraging modern cloud-native and low-code technologies.
Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, secure, and compliant solutions in a hybrid cloud environment, ensuring alignment with client needs and industry best practices.
Establish architectural frameworks, technology roadmaps, and governance models to drive consistency and operational excellence.
Integrate AI/ML, data analytics, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions into existing IT landscapes.
Drive modernization initiatives, including application refactoring and cloud migration.
Ensure solutions meet regulatory and security standards, aligning with industry-specific compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, PCI, HIPAA, CCPA).
Business & Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with business leaders to understand client needs and translate them into technology solutions.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and executive teams to develop compelling technical solutions for RFPs, proposals, and client presentations.
Work closely with Product Managers to ensure solutions align with product strategy and enterprise architecture.
Engage with IT teams, vendors, and third-party partners to evaluate and select technology platforms.
Technology Leadership & Innovation
Drive technology differentiation by integrating AI, automation, and data-driven solutions to enhance business processes and improve operational efficiency.
Champion DevSecOps best practices, including microservices and containerization.
Ensure adherence to industry standards, security policies, and compliance requirements throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Conduct architecture reviews, audits, and quality assurance assessments.
Provide thought leadership and guidance to engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
15+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution design, or technology leadership roles within highly regulated industries.
Deep knowledge of AWS, Azure, and on-premise architectures, including cloud-native services, security frameworks, and DevSecOps methodologies.
Proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale enterprise IT solutions, leveraging business process automation, AI/ML, data analytics, and intelligent workflows.
Strong understanding of compliance requirements in both public and private sector environments.
Experience supporting business development, client engagements, and RFP processes, articulating technology solutions in a business context.
Ability to influence senior stakeholders, drive cross-functional collaboration, and lead teams in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent ability to engage with executives, stakeholders, and clients to present complex technical concepts and drive solution adoption.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Industry certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS/Azure Architect, CISSP) are a plus.
Experience working with government agencies, financial institutions, or healthcare organizations.
Background in product management, software development, automation platforms, and AI/ML frameworks.
