Job Title: Sr. Civil Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Sr. Civil Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 10 years of experience in remedial site design, with a focus on grading, drainage, stormwater management, surfaces, pipe networks, paving, and permitting. This full-time, remote position involves working on commercial and multifamily residential projects, serving as a member of a design team, and coordinating site civil designs to meet project objectives, schedules, and budgets. The candidate should be on track to obtain their PE, possess significant AutoCAD experience, and have strong experience in stormwater management and grading.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering tasks in the site/civil engineering field by developing a working knowledge of applicable design criteria, regulatory requirements, standards, and processes.
- Demonstrate the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently while being flexible and able to adapt to a changing environment.
- Conduct site visits, investigations, data collection, review, and interpretation of available site plans and survey mapping, including review of agency regulations.
- Assist project managers/S r. engineers with the design of grading, earthwork analysis, and stormwater management designs.
- Possess an in-depth knowledge and understanding of site civil design, permitting, and construction plan preparation, and be proficient in using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D to create design plans and details.
- Prepare cost estimates and specifications based on design drawings.
- Prepare written correspondence including proposals, Site Investigation Reports, Grading and Drainage Reports, paving assessments, and other required reports.
- Expand knowledge base through in-house training and/or self-training.
- Work within a design team to develop site plans using AutoCAD, including grading, green infrastructure, trail/pedestrian facilities, erosion & sediment control plans and details, utility distribution systems, potable water system design, sanitary sewer design, stormwater management system design, and associated calculations.
- Prepare associated calculations and spreadsheets.
- Maintain own transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Engage with clients in a professional manner, as this position occasionally involves client-facing responsibilities.
Essential Skills
- 10 years of experience in remedial site design
- EIT (on track to obtain PE)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, especially in stormwater management, grading, and surfaces
- Knowledge of project management
- Experience with Civil 3D
- Site development and drainage expertise
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- PE license is a major plus and preferred
- Experience with HydroCAD, Hydraflow, and StormCAD

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52.88 - $60.10/hr.
