Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Architect to manage the technical production of projects from inception through completion. This role requires proficiency in Revit and experience in educational projects, including K-12 and higher education. The ideal candidate will represent the firm as the primary liaison to clients and will be involved in developing project fees, budgets, proposals, and contracts.
Responsibilities
- Manage technical production of projects from inception through completion.
- Represent the firm as the primary liaison to clients, including institutional entities.
- Assist in the development of project fees, budgets, proposals, and contracts.
- Provide management of project team activities while maintaining hands-on ability to contribute directly to the production effort.
- Coordinate all project technical and administrative efforts to ensure efficient and cost-effective execution of projects.
- Maintain responsibility for bringing the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and to the client's satisfaction.
- Actively develop and manage both internal and client budgets, schedules, and programs.
- Coordinate efforts of internal architectural staff and consultants.
- Independently develop and apply advanced architectural concepts and designs.
- Provide technical guidance to less experienced architects/architectural staff.
- Manage electronic filing and organize project files utilizing established office platforms and standards.
- Execute all work in a professional manner.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in Revit with no training required.
- Ability to manage technical production of projects from inception through completion.
- Licensed Architect.
- Experience with AutoCAD, construction drawings, construction documents, detailing, design, drafting, schematic design, design development, and construction administration.
- Experience in educational projects, especially K-12 projects.
- Full understanding of building details, floor plans, elevations, and sections.
- Proficient with NJ & NY state and federal healthcare code compliance guidelines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Architectural Degree required.
- 7+ years of architectural experience.
- Experience with SDA projects.
- Ability to put together full sets of construction document sets for complex projects.
Work Environment
The firm is located in Morristown with about 90 employees. The work environment is very modern and collaborative, with a focus on work/life balance. This is a hybrid opportunity, allowing for 3 days remote work and 2 days in the office. The firm is known for its prestigious and design-focused culture, low turnover, and exposure to complex projects such as large-scale healthcare and educational projects.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $57.69/hr.
