Job Title: Commercial Security Technician
Territory: North of I-95 in New Jersey
Job Description:
We are looking to add an experienced commercial security technician to our team. This role is part of our expanding commercial division, which is transitioning from small business to full commercial operations. Initially, the technician's workload will be split approximately 70:30 between commercial and residential projects, eventually moving to 100% commercial as the division grows.
Responsibilities:
- Provide security services to small and large enterprise businesses.
- Work with a team of installers to install conduit and pull/terminate cables.
- Mount, install, and program security panels, CCTV cameras (indoor/outdoor), and card readers.
- Configure IP systems and install/program door locks.
- Read and interpret floor plans from the engineering and sales teams.
- Communicate effectively with clients, both technically and personally.
- Pull cables, terminate, test, and troubleshoot to ensure system functionality.
Skills:
- Installation and troubleshooting of alarm systems.
- Low voltage installation and cabling.
- Experience with Honeywell, alarm.com, IP configuration, and access control systems.
- Knowledge of physical security, CCTV, Cat5/Cat6 cable installation, and service.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience with access control systems (Pro4 Crestron Panel and Qolsys IQ panel), CCTV cameras (alarm.com), A/V and home theater equipment, and home automation devices.
- Proficient with tools, testers, and fishing cable through walls and ceilings.
- Strong background in security installations in homes and small businesses.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
