Job Description
Responsible for monitoring the AHS's compliance in accordance with current applicable Federal, State and local dietary standards, guidelines, and regulations. Ensures that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
Per diem nutritionists needed for locations in Morristown, Summit, and Branchburg (applicants do not need to be able to work at all three locations).
Principal Accountabilities:
- Provides nutrition assessment, documentation and plan of care in an outpatient setting with a focus on metabolic conditions, weight management, and bariatrics.
- Works closely with the Metabolic Physician to evaluate and treat patients based on their individual needs.
- Collaborates with other team members to provide patients with the highest standards of care.
- Reviews appropriate web sites, publications and other educational materials to ensure that the standards of practice are being achieved.
- Creates and adjusts education materials as deemed necessary.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Functions as a part of a team of dietitians across all AMG Metabolic locations, reporting to the Lead Metabolic Dietitian.
- Maintains quality assurance and evaluates compliance with corporate policies and procedures and State and Federal guidelines.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Home Science or related field.
Preferred:
Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Home Science or related field.
2-3 year's experience in outpatient nutrition or relevant area.
Licensed with the State of New Jersey as a Registered Dietetic Technician or Registered Dietician or Dietary Manager Association or as applicable.
