We are offering a contract to full-time employment opportunity for a dedicated Lead Auditor - BSA/AML to join our team in the Financial Services industry based in Morris County, New Jersey. In this pivotal role, you will ensure our adherence to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulatory requirements. You will conduct compliance audits, assess our customer due diligence practices, and evaluate our monitoring, reporting, and record-keeping mechanisms.
Responsibilities:
- Design audit programs to evaluate compliance with AML/BSA regulations and risk management controls.
- Conduct detailed testing of systems, policies, and procedures related to BSA reporting, including Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
- Audit mechanisms for identifying, documenting, and reporting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to ensure alignment with industry best practices.
- Evaluate customer onboarding processes and adherence to Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.
- Review ongoing due diligence protocols for consistency with risk scoring models and escalation procedures.
- Assess the effectiveness of transaction monitoring systems and protocols for investigating and escalating suspicious activity.
- Prepare comprehensive workpapers and narratives to document testing performed, findings identified, and recommended corrective actions.
- Draft official audit reports summarizing key results, issues identified, and management's responses.
- Stay updated on evolving AML/BSA regulations and industry best practices to ensure internal processes remain compliant.
- Assist in preparing for regulatory exams and responding to audit inquiries.

Requirements - Proficient in Actimize and Actimize Suspicious Activity Monitoring (SAM)
- Knowledgeable in BSA - Bank Secrecy Act and AML - Anti Money Laundering
- Proficient in Suspicious Activity Reporting
- Strong understanding of Regulatory Compliance
- Demonstrated expertise in Bank Secrecy Act Anti-money
- In-depth knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act
- Experience in the financial services industry
- Ability to lead and manage auditing teams
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Possess a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- Proven experience as a Lead Auditor in a similar role within the financial services industry
- Ability to travel as needed for audits
