Job Description
ADP is hiring a Director of Finance.

As a Director of Finance, you will drive financial and strategic support to the Major Account Sales business to ensure achievement of short-and long-term financial goals. Collaborating with management and partnering with many functions across ADP, you will play a critical role in the financial planning and business analysis to support decision-making on the growth strategy for a sales organization that drives ~$500M of annual new business bookings.
Driving research and analysis of trends, leading indicators and business statistics, this role will also support operating planning, forecasting, strategic planning, and financial close activities through highly complex business analysis. In addition, you will be responsible for the establishment and maintenance of processes for financial reviews, approvals, and involvement in successful execution of key deliverables.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Here's what you can expect on a typical day:
Business Analysis: Demonstrate deep understanding of business objectives and provides insightful, fact-based data analysis and thought leadership to drive decision making on sales growth initiatives.
- Create financial models, research and analyses of trends, leading indicators, and business statistics.
- Utilize data infrastructure by extracting, aggregating, and dissecting financial data and performance metrics, highlight findings for management review.
Results Reporting and Analysis *:* Produce and distribute recurring and ad hoc management analysis, including presentable documents. Responsible for financial reporting accuracy.
- Leverage recurring and ad hoc management reporting to identify trends, build business cases, highlight opportunities and risks, and drive business decision making.
- Communicate results and insights to senior leaders including the SVP of Major Accounts Sales.
- Partner with the Accounting and Quote-to-Cash organizations to support close activities to enable accurate accounting and reporting.
Operating Planning and Forecasting Support management to create an annual operating plan and perform forecasting to provide visibility into business results to enable business decisions.
- Includes planning for a changing sales environment that will rely more on new GenAI technologies to support sales growth.
Business Partnering: Partner with key stakeholders and cross-functional business partners (eg. other finance functions, sales, compensation, product, service) to align on business priorities and drive effective solutions/execution.
- Act as a Sales Finance functional business partner with high exposure to sales leaders as well as the Major Accounts business unit finance partners.
- Constructively communicate compelling arguments based on facts and data with responsibilities to make decisions on questions and feedback from the sales organization.
- Leverage networks and collaborate with resources across the organization to achieve business objectives.
Financial Operational Policy: Ensure continued compliance and enforcement for relevant financial operational policies and procedures.
Experience: You'll have 10+ years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
- Demonstrated experience as a trusted advisor to business partners with strong business acumen, including identifying and recommending opportunities that grow revenue and reduce expenses, and providing complex analysis to support forecasting and strategic planning.
- Highly skilled at leveraging data from FP&A reporting to drive financial results.
- Expertise with Excel and other tools, including building financial models from scratch.
- Skilled at proactively seeking opportunities for process improvements.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to own projects and work streams independently.
- You'll have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, OR equivalent.
The following would give additional comfort in the role.
- MBA Finance or MS in Business Analytics or similar degree.
- Graduate of Finance Leadership Development Program.
- Graduate of Executive MBA Program.
- Consulting Experience.
