Job Description
Position SummaryThe Associate Director, Information Technology Business Systems (Commercial and Medical Affairs) is a key member of the IT team. The Associate Director partners closely with the Commercial and Medical Affairs organizations to support and advance technology capabilities that enable achievement of business objectives.This position is remote with a corporate headquarters in Foster City, CA & Parsippany, NJ. The Associate Director will report to the Senior Director, IT Business Systems Commercial & Medical Affairs. Primary Responsibilities Work with Commercial and Medical Affairs stakeholders to design, deliver, and maintain technology-oriented solutions that align to strategic direction Define the Commercial and Medical Affairs business technology roadmaps, advocates solutions, and manage delivery to achieve business goals Define and maintain data analysis and data quality solutions, including establishing methodology for data investigation and troubleshooting Leverage data to illustrate value and increase profile of technology within the organization Lead efforts that deliver high visibility and impact across the organization both on time and on budget Serve as lead for commercial launch activities, ensuring deliveries are timely and within scope Identify and partner with external service providers to deliver solutions and services Manage technology delivery including, communication, platform/technology selection, pilots, implementation, change management, and operations.Competencies Comprehensive understanding of global biotechnology or pharmaceutical company ecosystems, tools, and technology Strong understanding of field teams, medical operations, commercial operations, marketing operations, digital promotional channels, third-party logistic providers, budget planning, and maintenance Ability to work under pressure, prioritize work, and balance priorities while consistently achieving positive results Ability to help set a vision, develop robust technology roadmaps, overcome obstacles, and find solutions to problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentExperience Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field Minimum of 8 years of relevant implementation and support of pharmaceutical commercial systems 6+ years project management experience 6+ years of experience partnering with all levels of management and consulting with key business stakeholders Experience with SQL and data analytic software Experience with commercial and medical solutions and data architecture, including distributor data, third-party data providers, data warehousing, master data management, customer relationship management, and business intelligence/reporting solutions Experience managing vendor partnerships is requiredEEO Statement: All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
