We are in the Professional Services industry, located in Morristown, New Jersey, and are inviting a Sr. Accountant to join our team. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be tasked with maintaining and reconciling accounts, managing the general ledger, and handling other related duties.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the process of account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Carry out balance sheet reconciliation as part of the monthly financial close process
- Execute bank reconciliations to verify our financial transactions and records
- Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date
- Prepare and post detailed journal entries as part of the accounting cycle
- Utilize Excel for various financial data management tasks
- Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded
- Work with Dynamics 365 Business Central for various accounting tasks
- Use Power BI to create and manage business intelligence dashboards and reports.
Requirements - Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is paramount, as it is a key task in maintaining accurate financial records.
- Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation is expected, to ensure all financial statements are reliable and precise.
- Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations is necessary to monitor and adjust the company's cash accounts.
- Expertise in managing the General Ledger is required to maintain control over the company's financial processes.
- Ability to prepare and review Journal Entries is crucial, as it is an integral part of the financial reporting system.
- Proficiency in Excel is needed for data analysis and financial modeling.
- Experience with Month End Close processes is essential to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central is required to manage financials, sales, customer service, and operations.
- Familiarity with Power BI is necessary for creating interactive visualizations and business intelligence capabilities.
