Job Description
Position Title: Intern
Position Type: Temporary (Approximately 6 weeks, with possibility to extend)
Tentative Start Date: First week of April
Hours: 10-20 hours/week. Flexible, to accommodate schedules within 8am-4pm workday Monday-Friday. (Special Event Requirement: Must be available on April 11th, 7:30am-12:30pm).
Pay: $18/hour
Non-profit in the hospitality services arena is seeking an Intern. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain practical experience in a professional environment and contribute to a growing team. Candidates pursuing studies in hospitality are encouraged to apply.
What the Intern is responsible for:
Answer incoming calls and direct them appropriately.
Handle support tickets, including providing tours and historical information as needed.
Assist in approving or updating events on the organization's website (training provided).
Provide general administrative support to the team as required.
What experience we are looking for:
Must be 18 years or older.
Proficient with MS Office, familiarity with Zoho a plus.
Ability to effectively communicate over the phone and in person, with a professional and courteous demeanor.
Capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing workload to meet deadlines efficiently.
Ability to accurately handle support tickets and update website information without errors.
Willingness to assist visitors and provide helpful information about tours and historical events.
Punctual and dependable, ensuring consistent attendance throughout the internship period.
Works well collaboratively with colleagues and demonstrates a positive attitude towards contributing to team goals.
