Job Description
Principle Accountabilities:
- Per Diem Position: Help feel needs of office volume for vacation, PTO, and MOA coverage. Coverage at 2 practices within proximity.
- Manage Phones
- Greets Patients
- Schedule/Confirms appointments
- Enters demographics & patient information
- Verifies insurance coverage, completes forms, and collects co-pays.
- Balances cash
- Maintains schedule in EMR system and processes pre-certs/authorizations & referrals as well as medical record realeses
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma ore equivalent experience.
Preferred:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Individual must be customer and employee focuses and be able to demonstrate ability to multi-task.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Prior administrative experience in a physician practice strongly preferred
- Knowledge of computerized scheduling & EMR system a plus
- Bi-lingual a plus
