The Work:
The Project Scheduler is responsible for working closely with technical experts, project leads and project managers in planning, creating, and managing project schedules.
Job Requirements:
Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.
This position is based in San Juan, Puerto Rico and future relocation may be required.
- Consulting with project managers and technical experts to set up assignments, tasks, and subtasks
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective scheduling management system
- Coordinating project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders
- Monitoring project timelines and deadlines
- Identifying potential project schedule delays and facilitating intervention in a timeous manner
- Evaluating performance and preparing project progress reports
- Accommodating updates and changes to project schedules
- Recommending actions to keep project timelines and deadlines
- Documenting project scheduling processes and maintaining records
- Develop and provide project schedule related reports including schedule quality assessments, earned value, cashflow forecasts and risks
Here's what you need:
- Bachelor's degree in business or Technical Field
- Minimum of 5 - 8 years related scheduling experience, or in lieu of bachelor's degree, a minimum of 9- 12 years relevant scheduling experience is required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience and proficiency in using PC software and mainframe computer applications such as Excel, Access, Power Point, MS Project, Asset suite 8, Primavera P6
Bonus points if:
- Ability to build a schedule from an estimate, Project Diagram, or verbal Scope of Work
- Strong analytical skills and evaluation techniques
- Extensive experience in schedule planning and management
- In-depth knowledge of the scope of projects within the industry
- Advanced ability to evaluate schedule quality, project progress and facilitate interventions
- Ability to keep stakeholders informed of project timelines and changes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize a variety of independent assignments and meet deadlines
- Ability to effectively interface with all levels of management
- Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate meetings, problem solve and drive to resolution
- Ability to schedule and facilitate project meetings with all stakeholders in office or field environment
- Ability to work flexible hours and in field construction sites
- Ability to handle conflict
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
