Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our client's property management team. The ideal candidate will have a background in property management and proficiency with Yardi software. This role will handle a variety of financial tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and monthly reporting. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and financial reports regularly.
- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger, maintaining accurate financial records.
- Generate monthly financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- Handle tenant billing, rent collection, and account reconciliations, addressing any discrepancies.
- Work with property managers and tenants to resolve financial or account-related inquiries.
- Maintain organized files for invoices, receipts, and other financial documentation.
- Assist with property tax, insurance, and utility payments.
- Utilize Yardi software for property management and accounting tasks.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, preferably within the property management industry.
- Proficiency in Yardi software is highly preferred; experience with MS Office, particularly Excel, is essential.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a high level of accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a team.
