Job Description
The Lead Registered Nurse / LPN is responsible for assisting the physician and staff with the daily coordination of patient care and physician access. This role functions as the liaison between patients, staff, and physicians, ensuring smooth workflow and effective communication.
Responsibilities
- Assist the physician and staff with daily coordination of patient care and physician access.
- Act as a liaison between patients, staff, and physicians.
- Administer injections.
- Manage and process tasks within the Athena EMR system.
- Ensure providers receive results for any imaging or pathology sent.
- Enter imaging orders.
- Assist in exam rooms as needed, with procedures occurring daily.
- Spend more time on the floor than in administration, with a 60-40 ratio.
- Manage staff scheduling.
- Oversee medical and office supplies and order supplies as needed.
Essential Skills
- Patient care
- Experience with EMR systems
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- NJ State Nursing License
- Active BLS certification
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Leadership experience preferred
- Open to RN or LPN
- Experience in neurology and outpatient settings
- Ability to take initiatives effectively
- No schedule restrictions
- Willingness to work on the floor and get hands dirty
- Ability to multitask and delegate while utilizing time properly
- Experience in leading a charge is a plus
Work Environment
This position involves a 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with two Saturdays a month. The hours are as follows: Monday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Tuesday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Wednesday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Thursday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM (with travel involved), and Saturday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (with travel involved). The role offers an opportunity to work in a small office setting, interact with patients long-term, and build relationships. Additionally, there are opportunities for growth within the office or the larger organization.
