KPMG is currently seeking a Tax Senior Manager to join our Family Office Tax (https://tax.kpmg.us/content/tax/en/index.html) practice.
Responsibilities:
- Advise clients and be accountable for delivering high quality tax service and play a key role in growing KPMG's Family Office Tax Practice, which focuses on investment management companies, family limited partnerships and various investment partnerships; some knowledge of closely held businesses S corps and C corps is beneficial
- Review and provide analyses of partnership tax returns and related tax allocations; knowledge of Pass Through Entity taxes is required and vast knowledge of GO Systems tax software and tax allocations
- Serve as the trusted advisor on matters relating to current and forward-looking considerations associated with tax-related developments, legislative and regulatory changes affecting privately held partnerships
- Build, manage, direct, and monitor multiple client engagements teams while maintaining active communication with clients to manage expectations and help ensure client satisfaction
- Contribute to the growth, process improvement, and institutional knowledge of the Private Enterprise/Family Office tax practice
- Mentor, coach, and manage a team of talented tax professionals
Qualifications:
- Minimum eight years of recent corporate and/or partnership tax experience in an accounting firm, corporate tax department and/or law firm
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Licensed CPA, EA or JD/LLM, in addition to others on KPMGs approved credential listing; any individual who does not possess at least one of the approved designations/credentials when their employment commences, has one year from their date of hire to obtain at least one of the approved designations/credentials; should you like to see the complete list of currently approved designations/credentials for the hiring practice/service line, your recruiter can provide you with that list
- Demonstrated track record of business development with the ability to develop and maintain existing internal and external client relationships and help build new relationships with key targets
- Experience leading multiple engagements and client service teams as well as developing and mentoring staff within a collaborative team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as Excel skills; ability to evaluate and articulate complex information
