Job Description
Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in the healthcare industry in Morristown, New Jersey. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for processing orders, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and resolving customer inquiries. Additionally, you will be required to monitor customer accounts and take the necessary action.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently process customer credit applications
- Maintain accurate customer credit records
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve them promptly
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
- Send invoices to Accounts Payable for payment
- Schedule meetings and check the availability of directors/executives
- Manage emails related to customer accounts and inquiries
- Differentiate between an invoice and a quote
- Understand and handle W9 forms
- Use Oracle ERP system and Office software to perform tasks
- Apply knowledge of Account Coding, Accounting Software Systems, Accounts Payable (AP), Accrual Accounting, and Automated Clearing House (ACH) in daily operations. Requirements - Demonstrated proficiency in Account Coding with an ability to accurately categorize invoices for appropriate tracking and payment.
- Proficiency in utilizing Accounting Software Systems to streamline financial operations and improve efficiency.
- In-depth knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) processes including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor management.
- Solid understanding of Accrual Accounting principles, with the ability to apply these principles in day-to-day work.
- Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions, ensuring secure and efficient electronic money transfer.
- Proficiency in Oracle financial software, particularly in relation to managing accounts payable.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create spreadsheets, use advanced formulas, and generate reports.
