The Marketing Business Specialist is the key individual that manages the retail point of purchase programs, contributes to online brand consistency for our channel customers, and provides oversight and management reporting of the Marketing budget to the Marketing leadership team.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Manages the point-of-purchase signage process for retail including participating in vendor selection with Procurement and fulfillment of point-of-purchase signage for National Accounts customers (The Home Depot, The Home Depot Canada, and Lowe's).
- Responsible for all point-of-purchase reorders as well as inventory management for the Retail channel; support targeted Retail in-market events, securing the proper assets for customer engagement and positive event experience.
- Assist with online marketing, including auditing and reporting, for both Retail and Distribution; work closely with Creative Services, Channel Managers and the Retail Sales Support Team, to manage branding assets (photography, logos and video assets), delivering them to the appropriate partners in a timely manner, ensuring consistency across partners.
- Provide monthly marketing budget reports to CMO and VPs to aid in budget reconciliation and forecasting; primary responsibility for invoicing and coding, tracking and reporting the finances of the Marketing department.
- Utilizing core financial, accounting, and analytical skills, responsible for analyzing, documenting, reporting on and assisting with the management of Marketing expenditures, including preparing Marketing financial reports.
- Actively contributes to the overall success of the Marketing Department, providing regular status updates to management and actively participating in meetings as requested.
- Annual budgeting process responsibilities, including researching and analyzing data as needed; collaborating at all levels within Marketing, and will regularly interact with appropriate Finance or Accounting personnel to assist with budget issue resolution.
- Collaborate with Marketing counterparts (Channel and Product Marketing Managers), Retail Sales Support, Sales, Finance, Accounting and Procurement to support our customers.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ Years accounting/budgeting experience
- Strong planning, organizing & follow-up skills
- Strong time management skills and attention to detail
- Strong skills in building and managing working relationships
- Strong collaboration sKills
- Strong problem solving skills and resourcefulness
- Experience with Excel (advanced), PowerPoint (advanced), and Word (advanced)
- Experience with Google Suite Products: Sheets (advanced), Docs (advanced)
Qualifications Preferred
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with strong business acumen and strong work ethic
- Ability to be self-motivated/self-initiated in problem solving
- Ability to be agile in thought, approach and implementation
- Demonstrated project management skills and ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
