The Division of Community and Behavioral Health Services is seeking candidates for the position of Clerk 1. This position will carry out administrative work related to Federal, State, and County funding as well as general office responsibilities related to the Division.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Under supervision, performs a variety of administrative work to support the operations in the Division of Community and Behavioral Health Services:
Enter information into internal databases, systems, spreadsheets, etc.
Organize ingoing and outgoing mail on a daily basis which includes opening envelopes, date stamping documents, and distributing to the appropriate recipient
Maintain mailing and distribution lists for electronic and physical mail distribution
Assist with timekeeping in PrimePoint
Assist with the funding process which may include gathering and sorting applications and documents, schedule meeting times/spaces, etc.
Assist with community events and monthly meetings which will include scheduling, distribution of materials before the meeting, and transcribing meeting minutes
This will require at least one night per month of extended hours that will go beyond 4:30pm
Provide administrative support to the Division Director, as needed
Maintains filing system
Order and monitor supplies
Answer calls and provide general information or transfer to the appropriate coordinator for specific, program related calls
Gathers and delivers documents to various County Offices, as needed
Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Qualifications
Appointees will be required to possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license.
