Job Description
Reporting to the Associate Director of Enrollment Services for Records, the Assistant Director of Enrollment Services for Records has primary responsibility to assist with the development, implementation and management of effective campus services for undergraduate and graduate students in the Records Office. The incumbent has knowledge and expertise in all academic policies of the University and ensures compliance with policy among the colleges and academic departments. This includes the maintenance of student academic records, including grading, change of Academic Programs, and Certification of students for graduation. The incumbent is also responsible for the completion and updates to the National Clearinghouse based on monthly Edit Reports returned to the University for clarification and updates for student enrollment status and academic program inquiries, social security number confirmation and other student information in question. The National Clearinghouse is a third party organization that uploads information to the Department of Education, on behalf of the University for Title IV loans. In addition, the Assistant Director also has the responsibility for creating student report queries from the Ellucian Informer student system for the Records Office and assists with creating email notifications from Communications Management. 1. Bachelor's degree or 3 years of equivalent work experience. 2. A minimum of two years progressive experience in administering records operations. 3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written. 4. Strong computer literacy with both PC and mainframe experience. Ellucian experience preferred. 5. Strong analytical and problem solving ability, math aptitude and attention to detail. 6. Must be willing and able to work overtime and/or at other Fairleigh Dickinson University locations as required. 7. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check.
