Our ability to provide oversight and project management for the client needs whether it is a wastewater centric project or wastewater expertise required support to a project within another discipline is why managers in the wastewater discipline are so highly regarded.This Senior Project Engineer position is looking for that person that wants to lead projects, lead the team, mentor the staff, develop the best approach and solution to meet the client needs and more. In addition to project management and oversight there is a need for client management, and support with regard to continues discipline growth. We are never stagnant and are not interested in just repeating the last design. This senior engineering position will have opportunities to grow with and lead growth in the discipline with their insight to opportunities, eye on changes in client needs and community's needs, and formation of new wastewater service areas in all our offices.Job Responsibilities: Leads projects utilizing technical knowledge and experience to develop the project team's overall capabilities while also meeting client expectations and schedule. Manages projects from planning to design and construction of wastewater treatment, collection and conveyance systems including pipelines, pump stations, storage, and end-of-pipe treatment facilities. Direct the development of construction documents/specifications and handling engineering services during construction. Develop and manage budgets and delivery schedules for each assignment; for project/task scope, schedule, and budget. Project Team leader coordinating execution of projects with other disciplines. Develops medium to large planning and design projects from inception to completion. Oversee the preparation of complete construction packages (including all deliverables) for the engineering, procurement, and construction of WW treatment, collection and conveyance systems for clients. Creates and manages cost estimates and project schedules and will be responsible for completing design tasks within budget and on schedule. Perform/Review/Direct team activity for detailed engineering calculations & analyses utilizing design software to solve complex issues. Supervises and supports the work of others and mentors junior level engineer & design/drafting technical staff. Develop and assist in preparing letter and a major proposals for a wide array of wastewater related opportunities for both new and existing clients. Attend client meetings and events in support of the client initiatives and specific projects. Develop presentations based on past project experiences and new environmental challenges for speaking opportunities regionally at technical trade shows, marketing initiatives and project specific meetings with clients.Education & Qualifications: 10 - 15 years' experience in the planning, design, and construction municipal WW treatment and conveyance.
