About Our Program
Receive insights into the future of workforce, as the Morris County Alliance, Morris County EDC, and the Morris County School of Technology present on the researched aspirations of Gen Z and what they are looking for in their career search. Six students from the School of Technology will be joining us to answer your questions first-hand as well as the Director of CTE. These students have participated in the Virtual Enterprise International Course and are National Champions VEI Competition for their company pitch and idea. Virtual Enterprises International (VE) offers students across the United States a program that provides authentic business experiences in the classroom. Through starting and managing businesses connected by a simulated banking system, students develop business acumen, financial literacy, an entrepreneurial mindset, and life-long skills valued by colleges and employers.
Morris County introduces “Connect to Morris 2.0” (ConnecttoMorris.org), a revitalized online job platform that creates opportunities for area employers to connect with local talent for their hiring needs. The innovative online portal intends to simplify the hiring process while providing a wealth of resources to support employers, jobseekers, students, educational institutions and nonprofits. Connect to Morris will operate jointly with Morris@Work, an employer-specific program that was relaunched last fall.
